Thame Sports Club owns the site and consists of Thame Bowling Club and Thame Tennis Club, sharing a clubhouse.
The pavilion, originally built in 1920’s was no longer fit for purpose and crumbling from the insides. A new fit for purpose, accessible pavilion was constructed for both bowls and tennis requirements between the bowling green and tennis courts which was in keeping with the area and planning requirements.
The tennis club offered one of the first pay-and-play options for tennis with the LTA and secured funding to resurface the courts and install the state of the art remote booking system.
wctd limited supported the Sports Club and other community users of the pavilion to demonstrate to key stakeholders including South Oxfordshire Council, Sport England and the LTA the value of investing in this community facility.
